ACIM Study Timer
You don't need a timer to do your lessons if you always
remember to correct your mind.
In this case, you also don't need A Course in Miracles!
To do the lesson through the day, choose to remind yourself
with a timer.
I have searched for the perfect ACIM timer for doing my daily lessons...
and it could not be had!
Many kitchen timers you can buy at Kmart or have to be reset by multiple
button pushes and most have intermittent "stir timers" that go off before
the final count. Plus, I wanted vibrate mode for when I am in meetings.
I found this great digital timer and bought a bunch.
It has dual timers for your reminder and for your meditation:
Vibrate Mode and Flashing Light mode.
Then I modified it to make it into the PERFECT timer!
The only problem the original has is that the buttons can be
pressed accidentally by your car keys in your pocket or bumping
against a wall if on your hip.
I added a protective ring around the main button and now it's perfect!
Doing the lessons as recommended by-the-book has wonderful healing power.
The timer works.
The ego is edged out!
This small timer has these features:

by the ego "accidentally".
From lesson 27:
"The idea for today needs many repetitions for maximum benefit.
It should be used at least every half hour, and more if possible.
You might try for every fifteen or twenty minutes.
It is recommended that you set a definite time interval for using the
idea when you wake or shortly afterwards, and attempt to adhere to it
throughout the day."
Lesson 42
"The more often you repeat the idea during the day, the more often you
will be reminding yourself that the goal of the course is important to
you, and that you have not forgotten it."
Lesson 44
"...but do not forget.
Above all, be determined not to forget today."
Lesson 74
"...(shorter excercises)
should be undertaken at predetermined and regular
intervals today, say to yourself:"
Lesson 95
"The use of the first five minutes of every waking hour for practicing the
idea for the day has special advantages at the stage of learning in which
you are at present.
It is difficult at this point not to allow your mind to wander, if it
undertakes extended practice.
You have surely realized this by now.
You have seen the extent of your lack of mental discipline,
and of your need for mind training.
It is necessary that you be aware of this, for it is indeed a hindrance
to your advance."
Frequent but shorter practice periods have other advantages for you at
this time.
In addition to recognizing your difficulties with sustained attention,
you must also have noticed that, unless you are reminded of your purpose
frequently, you tend to forget about it for long periods of time...Structure, then, is necessary for you at this time, plan to include
frequent reminders of your goal and regular attempts to reach it.
